We are a group of friends who started playing recreational volleyball in 1993. Yes, this was 30 years ago.
Now?
We have successfully grown into a club with 8 teams - adults and juniors. The last 2 years have been phenomenal. We have grown our junior wing and reached national competitions.
However, we are open to most ages and abilities. We welcome new people all year long, not just in our teams but in our “more social” games, a healthy mix of fun and competition (as well as a fair share of taking the mick!)
Worthing Volleyball Club is still an amateur sports entity. This means that all our success (and work!) has been run by volunteers.
Behind the scenes, an executive committee is responsible for the day-to-day decisions, the annual AGM and future plans. We also have team secretaries to manage the teams.
Meet the team below

Mickey is responsible for overseeing the running of the club. He coordinates the committee and liaises with the Sussex Volleyball Association and other outside partners.
He is one of our Level 2 accredited coaches and will lead adult and junior sessions as required. He also provides match-day coaching.

Mark is responsible for overseeing, planning and delivering the coaching that the club provides.
Mark is also the lead selector for the teams as they are decided each season.
