Want to play volleyball with us?
We'd love to have you come along and give our club a try.
We don't have beginners classes as such but we pride ourselves on being an inclusive club with a wide range of abilities, and we have other beginners/ not played for a long time players on our books.
For the more experienced players, we have junior and adult teams playing locally and nationally that you can join as a member.
Training
Adults - Tuesdays
Women's Training - 6pm until 8pm
Men's Training - 7.30pm until 9.30pm
Juniors - Sundays (Note: We can currently only accept junior players in Year 7 and above)
Level 1 - 4pm until 5pm
Level 2 is 5pm until 6pm.
(note: new junior players would normally start at level 1)
Both are usually held at Worthing High School, on South Farm Road.
Matches
We have men's and women's teams in the Sussex Volleyball League.
Any adult member who wants to is entitled to be part of a team, although which one will depend on experience, skill and numbers.
Our home matches are played on Sunday evenings at 6pm and 8pm at Worthing High School. Away matches can be on different days and times within Sussex.
Being part of a team also brings the expectation that you help out with other matches: scoring, refereeing, setting up and tidying away. We will happily teach you to want you to need to know.
Before we sign anyone up or take their money, we like new people to come along and have a free trial session to see how they get on.
If you decide to join us, welcome to Worthing Volleyball Club!
The current subscription for adults is £15 per month - including all training sessions and any matches (if you want to join a team in the Sussex local league).
From September 2023 the current subscription for juniors is £10 per month - including all the training and playing for teams that we enter in the Volleyball England junior competitions.
That's great! Please follow the steps:
1. Sign up for the app we use, Spond.
(If you are a junior player, then you must have a parent/carer identified as your guardian. The guardians can see all the events the juniors are invited to and messages that you are sent - all for safeguarding reasons.)
2. Set up your standing order.
You will receive our bank details.
Send an email to info@worthingvolleyballclub.co.uk to let us know when the first payment goes through.
3. Wait for us. We are almost there.
You will receive an email confirming your registration and follow it to sign into Spond. You should then be able to see the training times and the news and to message other members in the app.
